bad travel luck

Every time I travel somewhere far, I always end up with bad luck. Like last summer, I went to Hawaii and got stung by a jellyfish. What are the odds of THAT?! They told me that 95% of the people who get stung are fine. Only 5% have an allergic reaction. Guess what? I was that 5%. Or two summers ago, when I went to Vegas with my family, I ended up getting dry socket from my wisdom tooth extraction. Way to ruin a trip. My breath smelled like decaying flesh with pus oozing out. Gross.

This time, just one week before I leave for Mexico, what happens? I catch a cold, which is fine, but then the antibiotic I take causes problems. Apparently, 5-10% of the people who take this antibiotic have upset stomach. I was part of that 5-10%..my stomach's been hurting for 4 days now. To make matters worse, I just started taking my Typhoid vaccine. I had no idea that I had to take it 1 week in advance before my trip. Procrastination definitely screwed me over. So, I'm not sure if the severity of my stomach pains today is due to the side effects of the typhoid vaccine. Whatever the case, I'm terrified of taking my second dose tomorrow. I guess we'll just have to see how it goes.

I still have so much to do. Haven't even started packing yet and I'm leaving in 3 days! CRAZY! I still can't believe I'm leaving so soon! I really hope my luck turns around and everything will be A-Okay!
